We haven't had one of these threads in a LONG time here.

It's about time. Our DPAD team has grown SUBSTANTIALLY in the past 24 hours. We're in a "David vs. Goliath" battle with hulking thugs that have ENORMOUS computing power - while we "little guys" are limping along with our Celery 300s...

BUT -

I say there is STRENGTH in numbers - and I say that TeAm Anandtech Friggen' RULEZ.
Who's with us? Let's have some more "BUAH" like the old days. It's time to utterly annihilate our competition.

I was just reminicing about the early days of TA DPAD. I remember posting a thread on Stephen's forum about starting a team for AT. He was like - I don't see anyone on that team(which there really wasn't😛)...but I knew...if he built us into the stats(and he did😀) - they would come. And boy have they come!

Is sneakernetting posible with this? I might be able to get a headless node going with someone else`s electricity. A how to sneakernet would be of help.
 
I have not run this client. I would assume you would stop ckient, copy text file to media. delete original, lastly creeate new file or it will create itself ? Take copy insert in connected machine? I need instruction please make it simple for me I.might be able to help. I have a classic athlon 850 I could get going headless at work.

Are you asking how to install the program? Here's how I did it:

Downloaded the file.
Extracted the file to a folder.
Created a text file called user.txt and put my username in it(Make sure you put [TA] in from of your name).
Created a shortcut of the backround app and put it in my startup directory.

Easiest. Setup. Ever.
 
No not really. I need to know how to sneakernet. I think I have it figured out for my situation. Overkiller should add sneakernetting to the FAQ. It should be easy. Nice feature. I think I can help on this project it has some good attributes. Sneakernetting is a good selling point also.

OK this what you want to do: Cut the result.txt file from the pc without the internet connection. Take it to a DPAD pc with internet connection. Rename the current results.txt file to something else, if there is one. Paste the one from the other pc in the muon folder. Manualsend and it's gone! Rename the renamed results.txt back to results.txt and thats it! 😀

Or you could use muonmonitor, go merge results.txt files, select all the verious results.txt files, select the output directory, usually c:\prog...files\muon and give the file a name, usually mergeresults.txt. Rename it to results.txt and manualsend!
