BTX Power Supplies

I have a Gateway BTX. I'm looking to upgrade the PSU because I want to move from a X700 graphics card to a x1950 Pro and I'm concerned about having enough power. I've searched several forums and it appears the difference between ATX and BTX with respect to the PSU is/was the 20 vs. 24 pin MOBO connector.

I've looked at both ATX and BTX PSU units and MOBO's and they both now appear to use the 24 pin connector. Does this mean that I can now use a ATX PSU for the BTX board?

There are so many more choices for ATX PSU's.

Sorry for such a basic question, I've just started upgrading PC's. I've always been a stock guy.

pkme, if you're only going to suggest a few brands, you might as well wait for someone else to help out the OP. winste, if the pins match up, you can use a ATX PSU on a BTX board. I'm confused though, does your case support a ATX PSU?

dBTelos - It has a 24 pin connector. Is there a way I can confirm the pins would match? I'm assuming you mean making sure the pins have the correct watts.
