I think there are some pretty good benefits to BTX, not just to Intel.

No, with the current on-Die memory controller and BTX specs, AMD will not adopt BTX any time soon. BTX specs put the memory slots too far away from the socket for AMD to utilize with on-die controller. Not physicall possible.

BTX was probably another one of those ANTI-AMD things by Intel.

Yup ... convientently designed so there isn't a straght path from the CPU socket the the memory. Whoops ....

Yea, it improves the thermodynamics of the system (which is good for anybody), but Nay, obviously this is an insidious scheme to hinder AMD.
