I had stability issues at anything over 4.04ghz on my C3-stepping 965. It's literally a wall.

I'll try to update. I care less about overclocking (the electric bills) now than I used to, but if I can hit 5ghz, I would probably keep it.

Hey guys im new to PC build and OC but I built a budget gaming pc for christmas and I wanted to do a small OC. I saw that you have the 8310 and thats the same one I have. what settings did you use? my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P. Thanks
