It says the prosecutors are pressing for him to serve his life sentences in series instead of concurrently. Would it really make a difference since he is already ~60? It seems like even 1 life sentence would guarantee he would be put away for life.

His Lawyer is probaby saying to Rader "You're looking at 10 life sentences, but I can probably plea bargain it down to 6 for you!"

For the ppl who have suffered at the hands of a cruel man, may you rest in eternal peace.

My condolences go out to the victims friends and family and may they put this behind them and move on with their lives.

How about Raders family? Can you imagine how his wife and kids are taking this? Imagine finding out that your own Father was the BTK. then

Ummm people like this in general population DO in fact "die in prison". Please note: Jeffrey Dahlmer. Died at the hands of another inmate. He wont last 10 months.

I heard that the son is in the Navy, and was out on a boat in the middle of the ocean when his dad was arrested. They say he's been under suicide watch ever since, and that he's had threats from other crew members. But you know how rumors are.

anyone have a quick synopsis of the Jeffrey Dahlmer case? Is he the guy that cut off his moms head and taunted it?

What happened to him in prison? What about the guy who killed him in prison?

<--Wichita Resident. My mom used to be terrifed when my dad had to leave on business trips and this guy was running around killing young women. Lots of sleepless nights, apparently. Then when he turned up again recently, my wife was freaking out when I was gone in the evening.

I'm glad they've got him. My idea of an appropriate cell is a 2ft tall, 4x3ft cell, solitary. Let the bastard spend the rest of his days curled up on the floor like the snake he is.

EDIT: Also, leave him naked and be sure that the cell has a spider problem. Nut-biting spiders. Hairy nut-biting spiders. Some broken glass in the floor would be good too, but nothing big enough to kill himself with. Oh...and no reason to give him any toilet facilities...he should feel quite at home rolling in his on ass-matter.

Oh look, more blatant examples of what is wrong with the legal system:

Judge Gregory Waller is to decide if Rader will serve his 10 life sentences concurrently or consecutively.

I can feel my tax dollars getting sucked into a hole to figure that one out :(

Can someone explain the difference? How can you serve more than one "life sentence"?

You cannot, However, multiple life sentences usually ensure that a person can never be paroled.

Hang 'em, and Hang 'em High! There's no justice in Oklaho- er I mean Kansas!

Seriously though, we should bring back public hangings for guys like this.

I agree. There's been so much disturbing news lately, it's getting me depressed. I was also very disturbed by the Samatha Runion story and the little girl who was murdered in Florida by another convicted child molester who buried her alive. So much evil happening in the world. So many sickos.

It's very disturbing that there are people out in the world who are sociopaths -- they don't have any empathy for other people -- they view us as prey or projects to do.

Not for the faint of heart

Read "Journey Into Darkness" by John Douglass. He worked in FBI and details many serial killer cases. If you think this is bad, you'll be surprised.

No, but my supervisor in my Army Reserve unit was the officer that analyzed the floppy disk and pieced the information together. He told us that there were several files on the disk which had been deleted that were able to be recovered. The files referenced the name Dennis and the name of the church he was a leader in. Investigator Stone then conducted a Google search (yes, he Googled a suspected serial killer) and ended up finding out that a Dennis Rader did in fact attend the church referenced in the deleted files. Case closed.

After seeing jet airliners packed full of people crash into buildings ala sept 11th, nothing phases me anymore in terms of news. Everything seems to pale in comparison.

they should play games with this guy like they did in the movie SAW, then let him wind up like the "players" of the game in SAW wound up.
