ok so i got the first part of the windows instalation done, and it goes to load the graphics interface where it asks you questions as it installs, and i get bsods, so i kicked the ram down to failsafe defaults and that cures he problem, pretty much all it did was reduce the ram down to pc2700

this board is s939 DC DDR

i was running these 512mb dimms in my shuttle an35n and i know they will run DC at pc3200, but i do remember running them at above 2.5v i think i ran them at 2.7V

i'm only using an antec smartpower 350W, but for the old system, axp 2200+ at 2.4ghz 1.8V vcore and and 2.7Vdimm it seemed to be enough

any thoughts?

should i just kick up the vdimm a bit? and also kick the vcore up a bit? i don't want to oc this, i'm happy with the speed it will be at, but why won't it run stock everything fine? oh, and its a 90nm 3500+

i put the ram in the two closest slots, now it says 128bit dual channel.... thats good, and i'm prime95ing it right now, seems the ram need 2.8V to run in DC at 1T, if i go 2.7 i get rounding errors within 3 min

So did you have to move them to the other slots like I suggested or did you just up the voltage, or both.
