Mobo - Asus A7S8X-MX
PSU - 350W (Generic)
CPU - Sempron 2800(2Ghz)
Memory - 256Mb Crucial 333Mhz
- 256Mb kingston 333Mhz
HDD - Maxtor 80 Gb ATA
Dvd Writer - Pioneer DVR-105
Problem.
Hard drive is clicking and screeching!
Bsod - irq_not_less_or_equal (occurs under heavy use)
Blue screen occurs when encoding or converting.
so far i have ran the Maxtor Powermax utility - passed
Memtest ran for 10 hours each on both sticks of ram - Passed
I understand that the Psu is not of the desired wattage for xp
and am wondering if this could be the problem ?
Mobo is second hand !
Using onboard Video card set to use 32mb of ram, so xp has 480mb to use.
Any Help or suggestions would be most appreciated.
