BSOD!!!

while installing windows, first it can't install alot of files....THEN in the middle, i get a BSOD....either it says the "irq not less ....." or this other one, "memory_management"....what does it mean? when it comes to BSOD's i am clueless...

i have an athlon xp 3200+....which is only running at 3100+ for some reason
thermaltake volcano9 hsf
msi k7n2 mobo
corsair 1gb pc3200 ram
maxtor 250gb hard drive
ati radeon 9800pro
some 400watt psu...i think it's mge or something

please help me....ask questions if you have any about my setup and ill try my best to answer.

check your windows XP cd for scratches, fingerprints, etc. If it appears clean and you know it works then I'd suspect a faulty cd/dvd drive.

you might also want to download some hard disk diagnostics from maxtors web site and check your hard disk for faults.

Run the error message through Google.

run through memtest86 for a while and make sure you don't have any memory problems.
