Laptop running Windows 7 SP1. i7 processor, 8GB memory.
I noticed it was running slower the past week, particularly when opening Windows Live Mail and some other programs. Then yesterday while on the internet, it crashed and I received the good ol' Blue Screen of Death. This is the message that followed:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
Locale ID 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1a

BCP2: FFFFF68000046A60

BCP4: FFFFFA800C818270
OS Version: 6_1_7601

Does that mean anything to those in the know. Is this related to the sluggish performance I'm seeing? Thank you.

Almost certainly a memory error, "easiest" diagnostic path is to get a bootable ISO from memtest, and run a few passes with that. Even if memtest tests good, it could still be a problem with the RAM, but it is a good place to start.
