BSOD while playing game, think sound card is the problem

I was playing Guild Wars and about an hour into it, my computer BSODd. Upon rebooting I send in the error report and got back a link for for a fix. It says there is a problem with ctcms.exe

I started following the instructions to the point where its says

Click Start, Run and type %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Creative\Media Database then press OK.

However, this comes up saying that it cannot find that path. So I opened up MyComputer and sure enough there is no Media Database folder.

Apparently this fix isnt my problem. According to Event Viewer, the system kernel crashed.

Any ideas on what happened?

Did you get the STOP error and x.sys file name listed in the BSOD?

Of course not.

When I reinstalled Windows, I forgot to uncheck the box to automaticaly restart when the system crashes.

Look in the event viewer. The system should have written a stop error event to it just before restarting.
