I know you people will probably not believe me, but I am almost 100 percent positive that I coined the term BSOD, blue screen of death. It happened a few years back, I'm not sure exactly when. perhaps 6-7 years ago. My friend, who was at pitt for comp sci, used the term there alot. It drives me a bit buggy when I see the term everywhere now and I'm quite sure noone would ever believe me.
Consequently I also termed the phrase chri*twhore.

I've been working on computers for 11-12 years now and I have always heard that phrase... sorry to burst your bubble... I thought that too for a while!

I highly doubt that you coined it. I said it myself before anyone else told me about it. As I'm sure many people have. It's one of those things everyone kinda says. Though I know that saying is older than the years you've described.

I started experiencing the joy of BSoD's in Windows 3.0 10-12 years ago, and always knew them and referred to them with that term, so it's been around at least as long as Windows has... (Probably started the day after the first Windows GUI was released, when systems started crashing on a regular basis--and they haven't stopped yet! ;))
