BSOD w/Mediaplayer Classic

Everytime I try to decrease speed on media player classic my computer just dumps and BSODs. Increase speed and other seek options work fine. ONLY the decrease speed does this. Any suggestions? Pretty sure it happened with the older version of MPC I had too. Maybe a codec issue? Suggestions?

GeForce 7800 GT 256MB

Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't used media player in quite a while. What do you mean by decrease the speed?

Mediaplayer Classic has option to speed up or slow down video playback just like you would on a DVD player. Well when I try to slow it down like play something in slow mo, it just craps on me.

You mentioned a possible codec issue. Does it happen only when a particular codec is being used or is it irregardless of the codec?

that sucks. try using other players with a slow-down function and see if those slow down fine. BSPlayer, maybe?

I tried BS Player did same thing. I can speed it up fine... but anything slower than 1x normal speed my comp just BSOD's... maybe my SATA HDD?
