BSOD upon error in Win98. Help please

Hi all, I've switched back and forth between Win95 and Win98, finally stuck with WIn95OSR2 w/ all updates. The only benchmark I used was QuakeIII, and 3DMARK2000. 3DMARK2000 doesn't work in Win95 for me, so QuakeIII proved to be the final point for me. I scored 63FPS at high details @1024x768x32bit in win95. In win98, a piddling 51FPS at most. However, I liked the fact that 3DMARK2000 worked, so i stayed with Win98 awhile, until I got this CDVOLTRACK blue screen of death error. I dunno what caused it, but it made me go back to Win95 in a hurry. It happened everytime I booted up. I've reinstalled Win98 four times, because I'm so stubborn.

My sys specs:
AMD 800 @ 2/5 cache 1.8 volts
MSI K7PRO
128MB PC-100
Seagate ATA 66 7200RPM 10.2GB HD
1.44 Floppy(Generic)
CL PC-DVD 20x/2x
GeForce SDR 145/200
TB Montego
Alpha P7125 w/Global Wins
1 5.25 Dual Bay Coolers
1 80mm Case Fan
CompUSA 250 WATT PS

Should I get a new powersupply, and THEN upgrade to Win98? If this will help, how do I save my mail in Outlook express?

TIA,
Paul

It seems like it would be an issue with your sound card.. just by the name of the error you describe. Try running your system with the sound card physically out of the computer and see what happens..
