I get constant BSOD+reboots right after the window screen. If i use just this regular version of corsair value ram 512mb pc3200, computer works flawlessly.

Opteron 180
DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-d
2x 512mb Corsair DDR550 (running at ddr400 of course)

I contacted Corsair to get some help, they told me to change dimm voltage to 2.8 and change the timings to 2.5-4-4-8.

With these settings I get ZERO errors on memtest. Separately and together during tests (both sticks).

Cant figure this out :( Going to sleep now, but i'll be back tomorrow anxiously.

PS - cant boot into safe mode either.

here's some stuff to think on - now i'm REALLY going to bed. Class at 9 :(

When using both sticks, i'm using slot 2 and 4, the orange ones. When using one stick, I am using slot 1, furthest away from the CPU.

Stick #2

got to the welcome screen, right when desktop showed

Decided i'd try something else.

-I put in the value 3200 corsair ram that always works w/ these settings, except I change voltage to 2.6 for it.

Uninstalled ATI Drivers. Did MSCONFIG and selected 'selective startup' and then turned off all starting programs.

Stick #1

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

0X00000050 (0xFFDFEFFC, 0X00000000C, 0X804F923C, 0X00000000)

Stick #2

Got to desktop.

BSOD

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

0x0000000A (0x82FFDBB8, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804E87E0)

Figured i'd give it another whirl, just restarted,

Got into windows.

WINDOWS HAS RECOVERED FROM A SERIOUS ERROR
DrWatson postmordem Debugger needs to close

Freezes after I push CTRL+ALT+DEL
Comp locks up, all i can do is move the mouse.

Changed ram back to corsair value and posted this.

Check here at the DIY Forums which used to be the official DFI support forum. They still have their databases for that MOBO. There are some very obscure bios settings needed with certain memory: http://www.diy-street.com/forum/index.php

You can also check at the new official DFI forums, DFI Club.
