BSOD on CDRWin

I need CDRWin to burn something...it is not my main burning utility...Nero is...and it works fine

Anyway...since i replaced my mobo with an ECS K7S5a and reinstalled windows (in order for it to recognize the hd after replacing the mobo) i cant get CDRWin to load. Windows XP gives me a blue screen saying that I should get new video adapters (done...no difference), get new bios drivers (done...no difference), or disable caching on my RAM. how the heck do i do that? Plus it starts a memory dump. I took out my new 128 ram that i added to my previous 256 and put the timings on a slower settings put it to optimal settings...still no difference.

I downloaded a newer version of CDRWin and installed the new ASCPI (or whatever they are) drivers for cd burner however it still does the same thing.

What is the cause and solution for this error?

THANKS

(would diabled BSOD provide more info...if so...how do i do it?)

What kind of burner is it? I have a plextor 24x and it refuses to work with cdr-win, it would bsod on me too. I just use other burning software. It was giving me this problem in 98, 2000 and xp.

hope this helps
Ps. What file format are you trying to burn and maybe I can tell you another software product to use.

Ah yes, I noticed you were using Nero, actually Nero can burn cue/bin files. Once the wizard pops up when you start Nero to up to the file menu and choose burn image. Then navigate to teh directory where the cue/bin is and change the selection type from img, and something else (the drop down at teh bottom of the dialog box) so that it shows all files. Then just double click on the cue fiile and then burn away. i use it all the time now and it works great for me. hope this helps.
