I'm getting a BSOD i have never seen before pretty frequently...it says ntfs.sys. Any ideas what could be wrong? seems like it happened after i uninstalled Nvidia IDE drivers...maybe.

thanks

Why did you need to uninstall the NVIDIA/nForce drivers? The Ntfs.sys file is the driver file that enables your computer to read and write to NTFS partitions. Damage in the NTFS file system, damaged portions of your hard disk, or damaged SCSI or IDE drivers can also cause this error. I'd uninstall all NVIDIA drivers via add or remove programs, reboot to safe mode and run driver cleaner on NVIDIA & nForce chipset, then reboot to normal mode and install the latest nForce driver package, reboot, then reinstall the video drivers.

or..i would restore --installing those drivers should have made windows create a restore point. So you should be able to recover easily.

We see this a lot @ the office. Are you running symantec firewall + AV products and roxio. If so the *mp3.dll in the system 32 directory needs to be set to NOT read only or deleted.
