BSOD - Might be because of interrupted updates

Hello

My system (can't access full details)
  • Win7
  • Ultimate
  • Intel Core i5
  • 8GB RAM
  • GTX560 Ti
  • AsRock P55 Extreme Motherboard

Problem:

I recently downloaded some Windows updates - nothing major as a Service Pack... just random updates.

Usually I fight a lot before shutting down before installing these updates, as I don't like rebooting or powering off my PC.

I was working on a Fireworks Document and I had to leave the PC for 2 or 3 minutes. When I came back, I moved the mouse to exit the sleep mode, but nothing happened. Fans and HDD lights still working.... So I powered it off by pressing the power button for 4 or 5 seconds. After I restarted it, the monitor light (whom usually goes from orange to green) remained orange and NOTHING - not even the BIOS. I tried switching the DVI port and it worked. Windows started, only to became black after a minute or so.

Now, after switching back and forth the DVI ports a 1000 times, no restart has been accomplished.

Only then I remembered that I might have interrupted some Windows updates being installed/precessed.

So I ask: Can you help me somehow? I would be very grateful

Thank you for your attention!

I have a similar issue and in my case this issue was caused by the video card.
Try to make some tests with a another video card and see if you still facing these issues.
Good luck

It does sound like the video card is a real possibility here. Windows Updates wouldn't affect your computer's ability to show a signal from the card, especially at the POST phase.

Unplug it from the wall, clear cmos or remove battery. Try again.
