BSOD in XP and VISTA

Hello!

I recently updated the Intel 3945 wireless driver in XP and after rebooting encountered a BSOD, with some stop error 0x00000024 (not sure on the number of zeros, but 24 is the last two digits). I am unable to determine what the EXACT cause of the problem is.

The weird thing is that the exact same error message appears when I try and log into Vista (RC2), and I haven't touched a thing in there in a while.

I thought it may be memory related, however I do not get any errors from MemTest86+ (although it still may be memory related).

I don't believe there is a hardware issue, as I'm writing this from Fedora core 5 on this same machine.

Also, I'm not even able to enter safe-mode in either XP or Vista (same error).

Any suggestions, as I don't want to have to reinstall XP.

UPDATE:

I determined the cause of the BSOD. The computer would crash when loading crcdisk.dll. The NTFS file system got a little corrupt somehow and both XP and Vista went wonky. Luckily, I was able to use chkdsk to fix most of it and can now boot into both. Unfortunately, all user privelages are gone and nothing really seems to work properly. Vista doesn't even display anything and XP just doesn't behave properly at all. I may have to use the repair function of the windows setup but I will keep trying and hopefully someone may have an idea.

Thanks! I had already done most of what was suggest in that article. As my "update" stated, I am able to get into XP now, but due to the filesystem error, a lot of the windows components won't even load now. I am going to attempt to use the recovery option of the install disk and see if I have any luck.
