BSOD Every warm reboot with BX133-RAID driving me nuts!!

Hi guys

Bought a BX133-RAID to replace a damaged ZM6 motherboard, along with a GladiaMX. However, I get a BSOD just before the network logon screen appears. I've not been able to trace the problem to any one component. This only seems to happen on a soft reboot - a hard power off, wait ten seconds, and power back on fixes the problem. I HAVE to wait ten seconds tho - a power off/quick power back on results in the same BSOD at logon. Once the machines into Win98SE, it's solid as a rock.

System specs as below, also got a Netgear NIC and a Vortex2 soundcard.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks for the reply - everything's on it's own IRQ, save the NIC and the Raid controller which are sharing one. I've narrowed it down to the Vortex2 - temporarily replaced with a SB16 value ISA, but I'd still like to get to the bottom of this...

cheers

i don't know if this will help a lot... but is your vortex 2 on irq 5?... i've had 2 abit boards and i find that the sound card "fits" the best if you put it in PCI slot 5 and manually set the bios to "legacy isa or reserved" for irq 5... the sound card will usually grab it... works fine on my system... also, have you tried the tedious "systematic" troubleshoot?... take all the cards out except for vid... and put them back in one at a time in order of "importance"... vid-sound-nic-modem-etc... this may be able to pinpoint the card giving you troubles... hope this helps
