BSOD, Display issues, GPU or MOBO dying? [Pic included]

This isn't the first time I've started my computer and the display failed show on screen (Monitor wasn't receiving display) Though it rarely ever happens.

Let me know if you need anymore information.

1. BSOD

2. After restarting the computer, it sat at Windows login for a second, then this happened:

3. Next start-up, no display.

4. No display again, pushing power button didn't restart the computer. Waited a few seconds, tried again, and it worked normally.

5. No display after starting.

6. Turned it off, uplugged everything, opened computer to check for excess dust/plugs worked lose. Found nothing, wasn't dusty (I keep it clean). I went ahead and unplugged power for mobo, plugged back in. Unplugged other mobo plug (8 pin male), plugged back in.

7. Hooked everything back up, restarted normally, and now it's working fine.


Not sure if it helps, but something odd happened the other day. I noticed my CPU has re-clocked back to 3.0GHz, after being at 3.6GHz. Mobo issues? (It was very stable, never got over 40c. Been like that for a long time.)

Since it was a TP-Link Wireless Adapter driver that was causing it, I did some googling and people were getting BSOD from it. So as far as the BSOD is concerned, I've updated the driver and we'll see if that helps.

Not sure about the display issues though.. Could it also be causing that?

Unplugged other mobo plug (8 pin male), plugged back in. this is the cause for your cpu dropping down to default. i think. i would leave it like this and see if everything works fine

Ah, well it was un-clocked before I did that. Either way, I just checked HWmonitor again to check temps and noticed it's back at 3.6. Strange.

I haven't had any issues after upgrading the wireless adapter driver though.. I wouldn't have expected that to cause so many different issues, but we'll see if anything happens again.
