bsod after installing benq dwvd r

has any one been having a problem with the benq dvd rw drive taht was on sale at newegg recently?

i turn on my pc and immediately it turns bsod and restarts.

my setup is in my sig with an msi dvd rw, which i had for a while, then added benq drive and started having bsod errors.

my thinking is my psu. anyone else feel the same? or know the same from experience?

I just recently installed that drive with no problems... Sounds like you have both the msi and benq installed at once. Try using just the Benq to lessen load on your power supply.

yea i did that, and i was still getting the same error when i had the benq installed, when i installed the msi the error went away.

if i can't get it to work i'm just gonna sell the benq.

any other thoughts ppl?

nvm i got it fixed, it wasn't psu after all. i had one drive set to master and the other set to slave, but like a dummy i mixed up the cables. everything is working great now.

ok nvm the problem came back. and i'm not sure what the heck i did. at startup during the load process my pc freezes. at this point i am running win2k advanced server. b4 when i ran winxpp the windows screen would come up, freeze, then bsod and reboot. with win2k what happend is it freezes during the windows screen but no bsod.
everything runs fine if i have the msi dvdrw installed but everything goes wrong when i plug in the benq dvdrw drive.

help pls
