I'm sure not all will agree with me, but I think it's one of the best shows around. The story, drama, and the action. Sh*t one episode has more action then Startrek ever did in one season lol. No, I really like Startrek, but it needs to improve big time. Take a little ques from James Almos JR. Well anyhow what do you guys think?

Oh yeah... great series. Maybe the best sci fi series I've seen yet. I mean, I loved DS9 and Firefly, but BSG is something else all together. It's in a whole different class.

Couldn't agree with you more. And I thought DS9 was the best Startrek series. Me and you on the same page. I never gave firefly a chance but I wish I did because so many people are talking about it.:)

X-files was good up intill toward the end. I mean Chris Carter didn't know what to do after that. The story was just all BS. Didnt' explain anything, left the fans in the dust, lost. And the movie I mean why did he make them? Didnt' make any sense, didn't reveal crap about nothing. Very disapointing in toward the end of the series. They should of ended the series sooner.

Pretty good although little things bother me, like why they cant have normal rectangular paper and the fact that they have an EXPO dry erase board in this universe. The word frack is pretty annoying as well

X-Files was an excellent sci-fi show - but I don't think it can be compared to BSG/Firefly/Star Trek...totally different.

I LOVE BSG! Awesome show. I also really like Babylon 5 and DS9 was my favorite ST series because of the war with the dominion.

B5 is my all time favorite I think...a little corny at times but lots of emotion and great story.

If you haven't noticed...BSG is not THAT technically more advanced than we are right now.

Save for the FTL drives, the technology level is not that advanced. They use nukes for ship-to-ship fighting and projectile weapons mainly. There's no real shields per se.

What I'm saying is that while they have developed a lot more space-faring technology - the rest has lagged.

Weapons have lagged behind.

Still using nukes.

Weapons on the Vipers are pretty much gattling guns.

yeah, I have found BSG 2005 to be very rewarding television. Just re-watched series 1 and first half of series two again courtesy of BT. I think it is the complicated, flawed characters that give the show some depth that you just don't get with most television science fiction.

I don't get the paper thing, but it doesn't annoy me really.

Love it. I only got into it last episode when my roommate asked if I was going to watch it. He quickly gave me the synopsis and what the backstory was. He then lent me the first season DVDs and I'm about halfway through them.

I'm glad you liked it. Trust me it's a good series. Somethings they do can be a little corny. Like the word they "FRAK", is the equivilent to the "F" word. It gets annoying as hell.

Agree. They are like us just maybe 300 years ahead, very realistic. Its funny how the Vipers use high pressure air to move around and tilt.

Its just different, but still realistic because that's how our shuttles move and space station etc. But other SCI-FI shows don't seem to use that.
