BSD operating systems

Hello,

Which BSD operating system would be best to try? I would like to learn something different but still manage to browse the web... so flash is essential.

I am starting research right now but figured I'd post this.

Thanks!

Try PC-BSD first since it's the most newbie friendly.

Flash also works on FreeBSD.

I don't know abouy NetBSD or OpenBSD.

+1

I'd also recommend PC-BSD as the easiest to get started with.

FreeBSD, GhostBSD, PC-BSD, OpenBSD, DragonflyBSD, and NetBSD are some options as well. If you aren't sure, and your system can support it, set up some virtual machines and play with all of them till you find the one you like the most.

EDIT: MidnightBSD is another option.

You could also try Debian GNU/kFreeBSD. I don't necessarily endorse it, but it might be a fun funky hybrid that would give you a fairly familiar system with some of the BSD tools lacking in Linux.
