In order to have AT&T cable internet, must I have a phone?

In order to have a TIVO, Satellite, or ReplayTV you do need to have a landline phone.

I'm positive that while you need to make a phone call to order service, the service does not depend upon a phone line to operate. Back in the early, early days of cable modems, that was the case, but not any longer.

I would not be suprised at all. When my sister first got cable down in Ft. Lauderdale they did not have the current network setup they do now so it was cable download but dial up for the upload.
