I've seen that one before.
(There is probably not many helicopter crash videos that I HAVEN'T seen!)

My first was scary as h**l! Inverted in 20 ft. of water in what seemed like the blink of an eye.
Second one was an Autorotation with a VERY hard landing. (I still think that was the root cause of most of my back trouble.)

..If I was the enemy I'd run from that new secret weapon. And if I was the gardner I'd be really pissed.

I know someone who was supposed to be on that but gave his seat up to a buddy who had never been on a helicopter before.

What's the story? Anyone live? What about the guy you see fall out?

He looked like he was right in the path of the rotors and the tail. Hopefully he got clear enough in time...

it doesn't look like there is much hope for that guy ... but it looks like whoever managed to safely stay in the body of the helicopter should be fine

Yea, it looked like that to me. I was rooting for him to get away. I wonder if he did.

It fell over on it's side on him, no way he could've survived.

The pilot almost got it back up.

There is no way to tell that because there is no depth of field. You just can't tell how far away he was when it came over.

Anyhow, someone has got to have a story on this.

NEED NEW PANTS

I can relate!
My first assignment was aboard an Aircraft Carrier. During my first check ride, my instructor warned me to pull a little extra collective and a slight amount of forward cyclic. I didn't understand why, but I soon learned!
When the ship is moving, as soon as your skids leave the deck, the ship moves out from under you, leaving you with about 30 ft. of free air you didn't have previously.
I was OK on the forward, but a little low on the collective. We dropped about 15-20 ft. before the instructor pulled a hard Col. and a side Cyc!

Looks like the trainee gave it too much forward and the instructor pulled him out, much as my instructor saved my a**!
