Brusters Ice Cream gets a 5/5 from me.

Ice Cream seems mysteriously hard to locate these days, unless you buy it from your grocer. There is the occasional store like hagen daaz, or baskin robins (most of which closed down in Alabama, for some reason). They're good, but hagen daaz can charge over $10 for two fairly small cones.

There is a reprieve! Brusters Ice Cream is making leaps and bounds in alabama and across the south eastern US. They make tons of beautiful flavours and most importantly they are CHEAP. $6.50 gets two regular waffle cones, which include two huge scoops of gorgeous ice cream. Plus, you can have a brusters card: buy 9 get one free!

You may wonder what world we live in when $6.50 is cheap for two ice cream cones, and I'd also wonder that, but compared to the rest it's a great deal.

Yes, because CS is expensive and a celebration of gluttony.

Brusters is good stuff. 🙂 The family is from this area (greater Pittsburgh) and the first one was based up by my alma mater.

YUMMY!!! And perfect for a 90 degree day like today. 🙂

what have tons of brusters around here, i even have a frequent buyer's card. and buy one get one free when it rains.

My favorite ice cream store is Timothy's. Not a chain though, a single location here in southern Connecticut. I used to live a couple of miles away and visited often as the menu would change daily. Now they're across town, but worth the ride. Incredible ice cream, all natural and all hand made on the premises. They even make their own cones.

I didn't know Bruster's was that far-flung. I agree it's good ice cream.

My friend gave me 10 coupons for a free waffle cone, and that ought to get me through the summer. 🙂
