Bruning On 2 Drives at the same time

Anubis

No Lifer
if i have say a 16x burner and a 40x burner is it possiable to burn 2 disks at teh same time from teh HD. or will this just eat up to much of the system and cause errors in the burns?

depends how you have them chained together, but if they are both burn-proof compatible i see no reason why it wouldnt work, assuming you have a decent computer.

would be on my Athlon XP1700+ oced of corse and the would be on seperate IDE channels running of a promice ATA 100 PCI IDE card

Should work without problems...

But...

You MIGHT have to use 2 different types of software...

Not sure though...

Good Luck...

😀

cool ill give it a shot when i get my free 48x16x48 burner tomorrow. hehehe love Hot Deals. and i can use nero and adaptec have them both installed cause i use both for some reason that i cant remember

Nero Supports this. I would try this over 2 diff programs, seems kinda risky.

Haven't seen you in awhile Tuna...

🙂

I think running two diff burning softwares at the same time would be iffy. As others said, Nero can handle multiple drives by itself, but don't know if you could do more than just burn the same data to both drives at the same time. IOW, I doubt that you could burn two diff sets of data to the drives at the same time.
