***Bruins vs. Flyers thread

w00t!!!! Another B's fan! 🙂

This should be a good game between two of the NHL's best teams. I'm hoping for another awesome game like the (best of the year so far) one against Vancouver the other day. However, with Philly, the trap will likely be in full effect...:|:|

GO B'S!!!!

😀

Edit:

I hope they go with "Razor" in net.

Yes they did and they lost faith in their goaltenders... that was the downfall. Having seen Potvin here in Los Angeles for the past years I am still not very comfortable, then again I have watched Raycroft in Providence for awhile and he may actually be better than he is even playing right now.... which is awesome considering the people that have developed in Providence and what ended up happing to them. Granted John Grahme is still playing but as a very minor backup to a very marginal goaltender. I still think that Rob Tallas was actually a good gaoltender, he just fscked up.....

Very true...but two things are different this year. We have a improved defense that can score a few with McGillis, Jillson, and even Moran can pop in a few. We have four solid lines we can roll out, although having Grosek on our fourth line worries me a bit as his tendency for untimely penaties cost us a few games last year. Secondly, the goaltender position is better than it has been in years. Felix is playing well and has something to prove, but Raycroft will likely emerge as the #1 as the season goes on. Also, we have highly regarded prospect Hannu Toivonen waiting in the wings.

Mike O'Connell gets a lot of flack fro mthe Bruins fans, but when he took over for Sinden he considerably upgraded the scouting department...Bergeron, Toivonen, and the promising center Sergei Zinovjev are the early results from that upgrade.

🙂

Ouch?!?!? Boston 0, Philadelphia 2

2 goals on 7 shots.......... looks like Philly is primed to make a point about this game. Then again the B's have come from farther behind this year... too much actually.

🙁

The power play they just had looked good, and but for the last second poke check, Murray would of had one.

Edit: It's getting nasty...😀

Hahahahahaha....Hackett got smoked...ROFL. 2 goals in 32 seconds...only a couple minutes into the period. 🙂

2-2 B's!!!

w00t!!! 🙂

Edit: Flyers take a too many men penalty...B's on the PP. 🙂

Boston 1:05, Brian Rolston 9 (power play) (Patrice Bergeron, Nick Boynton)
Boston 1:37, Brian Rolston 10 (Rob Zamuner, Jeff Jillson)

Actually, while it's not the case for this game, you should be glad you don't have to listen to the Gord Kluzack - Dale Arnold commentator tandem for the home games... :disgust::|:|

Edit:

So are we like the only B's fans on ATOT?? I seem to remember more before last years playoffs...

You know, Philly has he best PPK in the league... the fact that the B's managed a PPG is very good news indeed. 😀

I think it's second best, but yeah I think we caught them a little flat footed at the start of the period. Also, the PP at the beginning of the priod gives you that nice fresh sheet of ice..

🙂

Sorry to tell you B and Flyers fans but this battle is meaningless until you can beat the Devils.

Man...I hate this kind of trap game. Philly with the one goal lead is trapping like it's going out of style...

This crap pisses me of...therr have been like 10 icings in the last 5 minutes....freakin lame. 1 one man in, 4 back...yay. :disgust: :|

Good...Flyers penalty...B's PP. 😀

Game over Flyer's win. Congrats to the Flyer's...they were the better team tonight. 🙂

That being said...

...most.....boring....third....period....EVAR. :|
