was bruce lee really that great of a martial artist? i know he's probably the most famous but i know nothing of his actual martial arts background...but could he really kick the ass of a guy who won national championships in China? all i know is based offa the bruce lee movie they made about his life haha...and it didnt really go into his background much.

Bruce Lee was a Shaolin descendant, much like Jet Li is.
