Here is a really short documentary about Bruce Lee that highlights a few interesting points. Second clip is a few slow motion explanations of Bruce Lee's film striking. The use of feints is the most telling of his skill. So fast you cant see them on TV ^^
Bruce Lee is a love him or hate him guy and I have seen many young grasshoppers basically hating on BL because its fashionable and Jeet Kun Do has fallen out of favor.
As a kid in the 70s it was impossible not to love Bruce Lee movies and while compared to modern martial arts films they lack alot of the flashy forms and wire work they still hold up in real world technique.
Both videos are short and are worth watching even if you dislike Bruce Lee. What I find most interesting is that he studied Fencing, Wu style Tai Chi, Bak Mei, as well as Wing Chun or Ving Tsun as we used to call it in the 70s and 80s. Recently a different Source has emerged that had Bruce Studying with a Yi-quan master which explains alot of his explosiveness.
If you study Martial arts I would be most interested to hear your reasons to dislike him or JKD.
My personal feelings on Jeet Kun Do are mixed since I a firm believer of going to the source of a skill. Mixing of forms is cool and all but from experience I have received more from studying various focused skills vs one that does everything.
