Browsing a network client at the same time as using ICS

Hi fellas. I have 2 computers on my little LAN. ICS is used to share a DSL connection. Now, the client can browse teh hosts machine fine. However, on occasions, the host computer expereinces very slow browsing of the client, sometimes not even browsing the hard drive at all. Both computers have 1GHz+ and 512MB RAM. Occasionally the host will receive errors indicating that there is not enough free memory. I have no idea why this would be a one way thing, please help, thx.

What OS are you running?

If Win9x, try using the NetBEUI protocol. ALso, if you're running > 512mb ram, you'll need Cacheman to keep memory problems down.

Your link to your Rig specs won't go through. I'm guessing your question is about ram?

If you're using win98, large amounts of ram will cause problems. Cacheman will tweak your vcache and some other memory settings that will help your OS to use it more efficiently. I've seen some systems that would get memory errors after an hour of gaming, but would run without those errors after getting configured with cacheman. you can get it from www.download.com , search for Cacheman.
