Browser redirect ads on anandtech

Today I keep experiencing an intrusive ad that redirects my browser to a fake page to win an iPhone, this is only happening when browsing anandtech and usually happens when I go to the main forum page and then click on a sub forum ie: new posts or security etc I'm on a honor 8x using the latest version of chrome. Added a screenshot of the page and the url is :

Thanks I didn't see that, that said, there's still no fix in that thread though, I spent an hour this morning clearing caches, restarting, running malwarebytes, visiting other forums, trying other browsers etc as it hadn't happened before today, now the site is completely unusable from chrome on my phone and I've had to install opera just to be able to browse the forums.

Welcome to the "Can't use Chrome Here While ON Mobile Club" of the Anandtech Forums. I had to do the same thing roughly a year ago (but I use Samsung Browser instead).

TBH I use FF on my PC and have for a couple of years now, using IE before that.

I have been wanting to ditch Chrome on my mobile for a while and have FF installed unfortunately though it's not as stable as the desktop variant and regularly gets stuck loading pages even though it's fully updated. I've been using Opera all day after this issue forced me to use another browser cause the redirects were pretty aggressive, to the point the site became unuseable and for now I quite like it not just for here but most other sites I've browsed with it seem to work ok as well up to now, so fingers crossed.
