Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question. I am behind a firewall at work which blocks all ports except 80 (http). As a result, I am unable to open web pages served from other ports (such as 8080).

Is there anyway around this or am I SOL?

You can try a proxy.

Proxy is the only way I know how to do this, the problem is most proxies tend to connect on ports other than 80...so you would still be out of luck

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will have a look at different proxy programs.
