browser pauses for a few secs before taking off on every computer on network

basically i have a network setup at the house i live at. we have roughly 9 computers all wired into netgear 16 port switch which then is wired into netgear wireless router with sprint dsl feeding the whole thing. every computer on the network though when you type in address in either IE or firefox will pause for a few seconds before taking off. sometimes it will state page cannot be displayed and if you hit refresh it goes to site immediately. i know its not my actual internet connection because my ping in everything i do whether games or speed tests is superb. other times everything works just fine. any ideas what this could be? not a big deal just really annoying sometimes.

im currently using the wpn824, but i have a linksys srx400 just sitting around. should i try that? or is it a dns problem with dsl modem.

its neither browser if you read my first post. they both behave the same. its really starting to get bad as of late. i will click sites and the browser will just sit there, ill wait for 5-10 secs and hit refresh and the browser will take off just fine. other times its horrible and i can't go anywhere. but if i launch a game it will work just fine and i will have zero lag.

I had the same problem with a NETGEAR wireless router. I went to the website and updated the firmware on the router and it cleared it up just fine.

My problem was like this:

Type in webpage, hit enter
Sit at white screen for a few seconds.
Suddenly get normal webpage loading speed.

Rinse and repeat for every webpage i went to.

Hope this helps.
