Browser crash...hmm. Ideas?

Zuni,

Just wondering, but I'm using Opera 4.02, which supposedly has full support of Javascript and Java. Anyway, when I click the little nifty buttons at the top of the screen, it hangs. Any idea what Opera is missing, and what could be done about it?

thanks
Rob

I should add that some of the javascript functions here at AT work just fine, just for whatever reason, not those ones. Dunno why. I'm just the messenger. 🙂

We don't support Opera, netscape and IE only 🙂. I really don't know what opera has done wrong, this is why we don't support it. It's standard javascript which works in ns and ie.

It's the only thing that has ever caused problems for me using Opera. Other than that, Opera rocks...5x as fast (and as small) than IE and Netscape..

Not that I ever use those buttons anyway. 🙂

Rob

Yeah, but it's slow as hell compared to Opera. 🙂

(And I'm saying this on a Cele533@896 w/256mb RAM) 🙂

im using Opera 4.0 and i have not had any probs, have you tried contacting the Opera ppl entity? that might help.

No, I'm back to IE5, for now. Some pages just don't look as good in Opera, and it gives me occasional troubles submitting forms; I think there is a lot of code imbedded in pages that is IE-specific - either that or I have some screwed up Opera settings (still using default settings).

Zuni,

I wasn't actually referring to this forum. I know what you designed this for, and did a damned good job at that. 🙂 I'm just trying to find a way to get Opera to run more to my liking...it is SO much faster than IE.

Thats funny, the buttons on my version of opera (I forget if it is 4.0 or 4.02) don't make the browser hang. They just don't do anything.
