Brownout question

Do you know if there is any way to prevent damage to my computer from brownouts?

My room is on the same circuit in the house as the garage, which has lately caused problems. Over Christmas, our massive light display had to run off power from some of the garage outlets, and it would constantly trip the circuit. I was always turning off my computer at night. As of late, the power draw involves heavy power tools someone is using in the garage. When they turn on, the lights all dim down, and I feel like I should turn off the computer. Is there any other solution?

Is the garage finished,(i.e drywalled)? If not it would be a fairly simple thing to add another braker, and split the two; 1 for the garage, and 1 for the room. You could also up the amps.
on the current one. How many amps on it now?
