brown steak safe to eat?

i accidently left a sirloin steak in the fridge to defrost.. for 3-4 days. most of the meat looks fine, but there are a couple parts that turned a bit brown. wondering if its safe to eat? anyone know? i really dont wanna throw away a good steak if its still edible

Unless it's got intelligent life forms growing on it, it's good.

 

Check the date. Meat at the grocery is usually refrigerated anyway. If the date hasn't passed and it smells okay, cook it well and eat it.

the only reason it is red at the gro' sto' is because they spray it with chemicals

Yup, safe. It's brown because it was exposed to air, big freakin' deal.
