I'm having some troubles with my IE browser. My homepage has been set to some website and everytime I try to set it back, it gets changed back after a reboot. There is also about 15 bookmarks of porn and warez sites that have been added to my list. As with the homepage, if I delete them, they get re-added after a reboot. I have installed Spybot - Search and Destory to try and fix the problem but to no success. My system is running Win98se and IE 6. Is there any thing more I can do to fix this problem?

1st Run LSP-Fix
2nd Run CWS smartkiller removal tool
3rd Run CWShredder check for updates and run the sucker
4th Run Spybot search and destroy
check for updates then Check for problems and fix problems, then go into immunize and immunize it, block bad pages silently and check the boxes down on the bottom to prevent hijacking
5th Run Adaware
update it and scan it and delete by spyware
6th Run Spyware blaster and keep it from being installed, update first then apply the new ones
7th for even more protection, try spyware guard, it functions much like zonealarm, cept for spybots, with an item in your tray, and will help in realtime spyware protection.

8th Make sure your AntiVirus is up to date and do a full system scan. if you have no antivirus, you need to get AVG, a freeware antivirus that some people say rivals NAV.

9th make sure your firewall is up to date (to test your firewall, go here and run shields up!) and if you have no firewall, you need to get zonealarm

NOTE: if spyware blaster or guard fails to start, install this and this

Holy cow there, Schadenfroh :Q

You forgot the papsmear and enema :D

In the past I have simply ran Live Update on Spybot and then Spybot detected the new script, but if you have no protection at all, you should follow the list above.

He's designing a FAQ, so he kinda has everything written out already.

After you fix the problem, don't use IE. Use Firefox and you'll save yourself lot of headache.
