I just got the x2 3800 and im about to order the 2 gig set patriot ram. I have the new thermalright si-120 coming to cool the CPU.

Any suggestions on the best overall overclockable and stable mobo out there? I also want SLI in case i go with Nvidia card....depending what i see on October 5th.

Thanks.

I did do a search on mobos but i want to make sure my patriot memory will be ok with it.

2 choices really:

DFI or Epox.

Search the forum for details. The DFI and EPOX will give you the options (i.e voltages) you need to OC like mad. The memory should be ok (check the DFI Street forum if you go that route)

You can try MSI/Asus/Gigabyte/etc.. but the results haven't been as good.

evilharp has it right, either DFI or Epox, I myself just bought an Epox once my harddrive arrives tomorrow I shall overclock the heck outta my system. I went Epox because of the price, definitely a few bucks cheaper than the DFI SLI boards, as in the cheapest DFI lanparty board is roughly 165 bucks and the cheapest Epox SLI board is 130 and they overclock roughly the same, although the DFI can handle higher ram volts if you are planning on a hardcore volt bump of your ram

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Processor (Venice) @ 2.7 GHz, stock air; 1.55V
DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR

That is my $0.02.

Good, reliable AND overclockable....I suppose you want a good price and excellent value too?!!!! I imagine you are demanding a decent bundle and half-way intelligent packaging? Man! Better yet, you are one of those that wants your motherboard to take out the trash too? Maybe give you a back rub, as well? Just what the fvck planet DO YOU LIVE ON BUDDY!

JUST KIDDING!!!

EPoX 9NPA+ SLI for what you want. DFI nF4 Infinity SLI looks promising as well, but is not nearly as tested.

How is the Jetway SLI board that AT did the review on panning out? Great review-any users to confirm a good board?
