A doorstopper shape wooden block + some metal bar with a u at the end did the trick.
It is so easy to unlock a car... Good thing I don't keep much in my car except an Escort radar detector which does run for about $200 on eBay.
That's called a slimjim. At a factory I worked at, we used to make them and practice on our own cars. Some manufacturers have designs such that you have to have a specific one to open their doors. Locksmiths will know the right one to use. BTW, possession of a slimjim is a crime in some places.

Did you try his birthday?

I think they are hard coded from the factory,.no way to change them.
Well don't they change the code when you buy the car? I know my dad's car's code thing was changed to his BDay

You need access to the inside of the car to change it.
I know, but I'm wondering if he did change it at one point, and maybe he changed it to his birthday 😕

Which is surprising, since you can order one from the factory.

It's also surprising since many police officers have one in their car.

OP, did you try calling the police to see if they could help you?

Ahhh....

I'll betcha I know the code to lock it - hold the last to buttons at the same time (I believe 7/8 and 9/0 are the last 2, so you hold the 8 and 9) - has worked on every keyless entry car I've tried it on

o wait, you want to UNLOCK it, duh... 😛 can't help ya there.

what was funny about those codes tho, is the same code that unlocked my grandparent's lincoln (now replaced with a crown vic) also unlocks a friend's explorer....

Did you happen to leave a window cracked and have power locks? Coat hanger or stick to unlock button is an easy one. You can try making your own slimjim out of a coathanger but its hard to get the right spot. I locked the keys in my car one time in a public place and nobody had any spare cash on them so we called the cops on ourselves from a payphone and reported a couple of guys trying to break into a car. Cops show up a few minutes later they get ready to arrest me I tell them it's mine they run plates and ID and open the door, I prove it's my car problem solved.

I've seen them at Advance Auto too. Might try there. Or, as I mentioned earlier, a coathanger.

Good idea! Don't ahve your ID on you when they come so they HAVE to open your car to see reg.!

power locks?

I guess that's a stupid question, but what I did to unlock my brothers car is if there is a button or a latch somewhere close to the window.

I took a crowbar and a towel. I wrapped the crowbar in a towel, and used the crowbar to pull the door from the frame, very carefully mind you. ( don't want to bust the window)

I shoved the clothes hanger in there and bent it the way I needed to hit the button/latch.

it opened up very easily.

(two people are needed) one for fishing and one for opening up the door just enough.

just be careful.
