Brother laser printer issue

I've got a Brother HL3070CW. I purchased it in hardly used condition from someone I know who had recently replaced all the original Brother brand toner with some knock-off brand they got online. No matter what I print, it appears as though the printout always looks horrible (low resolution, faint colours, no definition) when I print from Photoshop and perfectly fine when I print from Firefox or anywhere else really. Any ideas how I would go about troubleshooting this? Is this a known thing in Photoshop with certain laser printers?

I don't know about Photoshop, but as a practical matter, you should be able to save as PNG, and then print from Firefox or anywhere else really. If that works, it strongly suggests to me that this is a Photoshop issue.

But now you have created a violation - two identical posts in both forums. I can delete the Peripherals post, but you need to get the Hardware Mod to move this.

Select the correct printer profile in the PS print dialog box.

Have you tried a different printer in order to troubleshoot PS?
