Nice deal, I have this printer, been working great for 8 months. Paid ~$300 for it, thought that was a good deal, for $173 it's a total steal!:D

I used the original toner cartridge in two weeks. This is a workhorse. It is not a high end printer. It will jam on occasion and it does have some other minor issues. None of them are critical and wow! what a great printer for any reasonable price.

DR-400 drum - Inkdaddy there's a coupon for 10% off right on the page. Cost of drum is less than $100. Toner is TN-460, or TN-430 (less toner). Yup, the toner is cheap everywhere and can be easily recharged if you so desire.

Does anyone know where I can get more memory for this printer at a decent price? I went to crucial and they want $39.99!

I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on this a few weeks ago when it was $150 shipped.

Once it hits $150 again I'm jumping on it.

Go to pricewatch and look for FPM 72 pin, EDO won't work with it. Got it for ~$12 shipped i think from 18004memory?

Man, I wish I had seen this thing last month. I've been looking for an excuse to get a laser printer. Everyone seems to have it for $200 now, which is still a great price I guess.

*Prays for another rebate...*

I have successfully used EDO as well as FPM memory in the 1440's. Pretty much anything that fits the slot works. I even used some old 8meg chips from discarded PC's and they worked fine.

Heck, get it for $128 now here at OfficeMax. It's $199.98. Add something small to hit $200. Use a $40 off $200 coupon, then checkout using MSN to get $32 MSN dollars. Final price: $128 shipped (plus tax).
