It's a great little printer. Got one for my Dad and setup on his network via an external Jet direct box.

Takes about 15 or seconds for the first page to come out due to the warmup cycle....after that it's a nice little 12-15ppm printer. Very quiet too. I set it to enter powersave mode after an hour.

Replacement toner is a tad pricey (I think $75 each), but look for a good refill kit..2 refills for about $30....they have refilled theirs once already and print quality is still excellent.

My $.02

Great deal for a great printer! Got this one a year ago for $230 after $50 rebate and $20 coupon (orginally $300).
Quiet, fast, reliable. Need to upgrade the memory. It comes with only 2 meg. Can go up to 32. Check crucial for that.
With 2 meg of memory it can print up to 13-15 pages at once at the highest setting. more than that it chokes. Overall, a great buy!

Most likely it'll be cheaper to go w/ Home Division 'cuz there's no tax in most states. Good deal!

SWEET-ASS!

I got it even CHEAPER than the title price of $165.

Dig: 152.76 Free shipping, no tax.

A search shows the price I listed but if you click the search result link you get the higher price of 171. Again this is in the Small Business section. The Home units are priced higher.

So I called in and spoke to a rep. He had to go to a manager to secure the discount but BLAMMO! There it is.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF 20% OFF!

I also got the extra 32MB for a shipped total of 180.71.

Life is good,

Bill :D

But, you need to. RossMAN, please use every last ounce of will-power that you have left in your body to resist this deal. Sure, Brother laser printers are the undisputed champions in the $150 - $200 league, but you must resist.

Repeat after me: "This deal is fantastic, but I don't need another laser printer. I should step away from the computer and read a book so I don't think about the great deals on printers any more."

Repeat the mantra for 150 times, then go read a book. I'm sure you'll be fine. :D

I've owned a few different ~$400 lasers in the past few years, and this one beats all of them. This is one great printer.

I'd rather buy a book than read a book if that tells you just how bad the disease is :D

Not bad, RossMAN. I have a used bookstore near me with a great selection of used books. Many used books are only $.25 -- the ultimate selection for a ferengi. ;)
