Good price, I'll wait for the 2270, need the wifi. Hope that goes on sale again.

Yes I own the 2270DW and I love it. Haven't seen it go on sale anywhere for awhile now and if it did it's not as cheap as it used to be. $100 at Staples is no deal. I guess that is to be expected nothing gets cheaper these days as time goes on.....I've read however that the wireless connection is iffy. I have mine networked with a cable so I don't know about the wireless. :)

I don't think it's a new law. You are supposed to pay 'use tax' on your income taxes on all internet purchases in states that have sales tax.

I saw that earlier today on Slickdeals and thought about mentioning it, but the only OfficeMax store in MD is in Hagerstown which is 3 hours drive one way for me.
It was OOS online so I couldn't purchase there either.
Local Staples and OfficeDepot won't price match an OfficeMax store that is 3 hours away, even if it's in the same state.

Ok let me rephrase that....you will be forced to pay tax on all internet purchases whereas previously nobody really kept track if you did or not. The companies will charge the state tax where you live upfront on your purchase if this new bill goes into effect. That will level the playing field between the internet and Brick and Mortar stores now.

I'm no expert but my understanding is that if the business has a presence in your state and the state from which the item is purchased they are required to charge sales tax whether you have a coupon or not. The government doesn't honor coupons as far as I know.....;)

HL-2280DW isn't available I'm holding out for an all in one printer as a standard printer just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

How are inkjet printers these days are they getting better than laserjet? I'd like to try inkjet but they seem problematic for me.

Laserjets are so much cheaper to run. I'm shying away from inkjets unless they are on sale and dirt cheap.
