Bro has a girlfriend. Shes blond and apprently very good looking. I don't know much about her but she also smells like flowers LOL.

My bro is 11 in 3 months :p.

Bro plays WoW basically all weekend when he is at home but it isn't as if he can go out with his mates and go drinking. He studies hard and reads 30mins 6x a week so he has that covered. He also weightlifts with me at the club and a coach.

When he hits 18 he would have trained for 8yrs already and be seriously athletic and stacked to the hilt. He'll be a MONSTER when he reaches 25-30.

Too much working out is going to stunt is growth.

Hope he's not squatting too much.

It isn't for cosmetic reasons. He is a weightlifter. He'll be a national champ within 3yrs easily. Weights are light and only go as heavy as his technique will allow him. Nothing heavy, just for practice and training. He has lost quite a bit of fat from training so far. He also eats more healthy.

It doesn't stunt your growth. Jumping causes 3x your bodyweight on impact.

My parents are 5'2 and 5'4. My other bro is 5'5 and I'm 5'10. If he ends up 5'5 then it isn't as if it was unexpected :p.

He is above avg height in England.

Cant it slow/mess with growth?

Heavy, heavy lifting might. Normal light lifting suited for his age should be fine.

Indeed.

He lifts at a club and the coach has 40yrs coaching experience at the top level with many National Champions. I'm qualified to coach and ref. Most of the PT out there really know f0ck all.

Weightlifting properly also causes your bones to become more dense. Bone density is VERY important in growth.

You only see short weightlifters in the lower weight classes because they are at the TOP LEVEL and being short for your class helps. It is like saying high jumping makes you taller. No it doesn't. Only the guys at the Olympics are tall because it helps being tall jumping over 2m! You get shorter guys at the lower levls but you will rarely see a guy shorter then 5"10 jumping at the top level.

Physical strength doesn't get you any respect in the real world. Tell your "bro" to read a book.

I guess you missed the "reads 6 days a week" part?

wtf?

He trains because he wants to train and to become a national champion. He also reads 30mins 6x a week if you haven't read the posts...

I call BS on that also. I have been given plenty of respect because I train and I know what I am doing (coaching). I don't ask for it but I am given it by people who know less. Some people may give respect, others not. I don't care man. I train because I love to train.
