Before I call up Nintendo and see if they'll do anything. Background: Bought this the day the Wii was released, never hacked it in any way. The last thing I did was connect it to my network, it updated and rebooted. For some reason it wasn't connecting to the network, so I had it search for one, then it froze up while on the network screen and never recovered.

It's current condition: Wiimote will turn it on, but not off. It will load and eject discs. Power button will not power it off, and reset does not work. Holding power button for about 10 seconds turns it off. No display on the TV and I'm using component cables. No audio.

Is there anything at all that I can do?

Nintendo will fix it out of warranty. I think its a little less than $100 ($70 or $80ish).

Well the semi-brick fix didn't do anything. I'll have to call up Nintendo tomorrow. Thanks though.

Sorry to hear it didn't work. :(

Good luck getting it fixed. Maybe if you call Nintendo up and give them enough hell, they'll fix it at no charge, or at least give you a discount.
