I just got an XFX GF 6600 GT 128 MB GDDR3 and i think it may be defective. In some games, i get white dots along some edges where 2 textures meet and some lines seem to flash when the camera is moving. I noticed this in the 1st 3dmark2005 benchmark and some other games (but not all) I tried the latest beta drivers, latest certified drivers, and older drivers but have the same prob. I updated my motherboard BIOS, chipset drivers and disabled agp fastwrites. I ran the games and benchmarks at various resolutions, quality settings, AA and AF settings but still noticed these abnormalities. It just doesnt seem to look 100% right, i was wondering if its my vid card or the games\benchmarks themselves. I did overclock my vid card to about 530\1100 but have the issue at stock speeds as well. I payed close attention to my temps and they did not reach over 60 degrees celcius.

Any input is welcome

i really don't know. i get white dots along edges too.. and have some flashing fat lines on some textures (since i turned geometry quality to just about 0 in wolfenstein). i don't think its cause for any major concern and i think it's the games that matter. maybe both of our cards are bad though.
