Broken routers?

I have two linksys routers (WRT54G v2 and v1.1). I don't know what I did (erased the firmware maybe?), but the IP address is 0.0.0.0 whenever it is connected. I can not get into the linksys web based configuration and whenever I click on the netwok connections icon in control panel, my computer freezes for about 20 seconds before the IP is changes to my real IP (according to ipconfig /all) and not the 0.0.0.0 or the default router gateway IP (192.168.1.1). Does anyone have any idea what I could have done wrong? I have tried it on my other operating system (i dual boot with XP-64) and the same problem occurs. Should I try anything before I return the routers?

Same here. I had a SMC barricade router that serve me for over 3 years and about 1 month ago, it die on me. Luckily I had purchase an extra one w/wireless in advance so my downtime was minimal. I guess since I put the dsl modem, router, switch all in the closet, it got overheated and just die.
