Broken Raid?

I´ve got a KT7A-Raid mainboard with 2 IBM DTLA307045 (striping) and a WD600AB (which is not in a array). After installing Win 2000 on the array (with newest drivers) there appeares a message containing that one of the striping HDDs is broken. I think a HDD can´t be destroyed just by restarting after Windowsistallatoin. What can I do to loose no data?

Backups.

RAID 0 gives no redundancy, if one drive goes it takes your data with it.
