Broken Power Supplies

Try contacting PSU manufacturers. Sometimes for the lower end units they don't even bother repairing them. Also can try Tiger Direct retail stores - helps to know someone that works there. Someone I know who used to work there bought a whole pallet of PSUs that were untested end user returns for a couple hundred. Most of them worked fine.

Also can check with all of your local independent repair shops, as that's where most out of warranty broken ones end up. They may not have any, but they may be able to save them for you in the future especially if you give a buck or two.
